Jon Golding Locations: United Kingdom and Caribbean

Jon has been advising entrepreneurs, global families and business owners in the UK and abroad for most of his career. He differs from most other advisors by helping clients deal with their liabilities as well as their assets. He also advises on protection from ID theft and on recovering lost assets through investment scams. Nowadays he advises banks and financial institutions on gaining and retaining clients through effective marketing and business systems.
From 1975-1979 he was Regional Manager for the Qatari private investment bank owned by members of the ruling Al-Thani family with clients in the Middle East, Africa, India and Far East. He then became CEO of a fee-based wealth management & business consultancy in London for over 20 years with offices in Jersey, Channel Islands; Altanta, Georgia and New Delhi, India. From 2002 - 2005 he develo- ped the Wealth Management division for RBTT Financial Group, the largest financial conglomerate in the Caribbean (now part of the Royal Bank of Canada Group).
In 2006 he formed Golding Consulting Limited in Trinidad with a select group of professionals he had worked with before. His own portfolio was advising banks, insurance companies and asset managers on developing their wealth management businesses. He also advised SMEs how to deal with financial problems and their sources of credit during economic crisises.
In 2008 he founded the Caribbean Financial Planning Assoc- iation, a non-profit professional body with a mission to help Caribbean people become financially self-sufficient; by educ- ating their professional advisors to advise and coach, not sell to them.
In 2010 Golding Consulting established a London presence to respond to the situation in the UK where SMEs were experienc- ing problems with bank finance and creditor pressure.

Anthony, a former South African barrister, is a financial services expert and author. He has been based in the UK for the past 20 years and has published 14 books on pensions, tax, school fees planning and trusts. He is a also regular seminar speaker, trainer and contributor to the financial press.
He runs his own practice advising financial institutions, business owners, high net worth individuals and other financial advisors. He is well respected among his impressive network of solicitors, accountants, bankers, brokers and asset managers who are invaluable resources when advising clients.
Prior to the UK, Tony served in the Rhodesian (now Zimbabwean) CID and Special Branch police service, later honourably discharged to pursue his law degree. He is well known for producing detailed financial planning reports for families and business owners covering all angles to help them save taxes, improve cash flow and increase their personal and corporate wealth.
Lewis Walker MBA, CFP, CIMC, CRC Location: United States

Lewis is recognised as one of the early visionaries and leading financial planners in the United States. He is a popular comm- entator on the financial services industry and publishes a popular newsletter, the Investment Coach. He has been an active part- icipant in the evolution of the US financial planning and life coaching sectors of that industry over the past 25 years. He is President of Walker Capital Management Corporation, a fee-based financial planning firm in Atlanta, Georgia. He works as an invest- ment advisor, life coach and financial commentator. Lewis was President then Chairman of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, now merged into the Financial Planning Assoc- iation, the largest association of its kind in the world. He has app- eared on numerous radio and TV programs, published many articles in leading financial publications and been a featured speaker at conferences in several countries. Prior to his financial career Lewis was a USAF officer (Vietnam 1964).
Simon Paler BA(Hons), CTA, AMCT, MCFP, FCA Location: United Kingdom and Caribbean

Simon is an English Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Advisor and the former Executive Director of Ernst & Young Caribbean. His expertise covers corporate tax structuring, company floatations and real estate transactions. He worked in the UK for Ernst & Young and Accenture as a Tax and Management Consultant and also for Laura
Ashley and other firms in mainstream accounting.
His international experience covers assignments in North America, the EU, Africa, India and the Middle East. From 2003 - 2006 he was Executive Director or Ernst & Young Caribbean. There he specialised in transactional advisory work assisting corporate clients in gaining greater fiscal and financial efficiencies, ensuring more profitable business outcomes. Before his financial career Simon spent six years serving in the British Army.
Frank Suess BA(Finance), MBA Location: Switzerland

Frank is CEO of BFI Consulting AG in Zurich, a boutique Swiss financial advisory and asset management company with expertise in Swiss banking, global investments, insur- ance, annuities and asset protection. He has worked as a Management Consultant with Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse advising international corporations before es- tablishing BFI. Frank specialises in tailoring strategies for private clients’ global investment portfolios using Swiss annuities and Swiss life insurance contracts with individ- ualised client asset management. This greatly benefits the clients, their trusts and pension plans in terms of privacy and stable asset protection.

Michael Callender MBA, MCFP Location: Caribbean

Michael is a professional banker with over 43 years experience in the Caribbean region. He has held senior management pos- itions with the Royal Bank of Canada, and its later Caribbean incarnation, the RBTT Financial Group in six CARICOM jurisdictions. His experience covers almost every aspect of commercial banking from corporate finance, product development, audit, compliance, branch management and marketing to Group policy.
He has served on the board of a Trinidad & Tobago government small business development and leasing company and is currently advising the Barbados government on their business incubation project for local entrepreneurs. Mike has served on the board of a British Petroleum charity and is well respected for his voluntary work as a Rotary past President and his continuous support for his club and the aims of Rotary.
Alexander Buxo CA(TT), FCCA(UK), MCFP Location: Caribbean

Alex is the former Chief Financial Officer of AIC Finance Group and former Treasurer of RBTT Bank Limited (now Royal Bank of Trinidad & Tobago). He is an Ernst & Young trained Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience in the UK and several CARICOM countries. His working experience covers corporate and merchant banking, securities, tax advisory, property devel- opment, manufacturing and retailing.
At AIC he established the systems of internal control and risk management. He also set up and ran the Finance and Treasury functions. At RBTT he managed an investment portfolio of US$1.5 Billion and ran the foreign exchange dealing room gener- ating profits in the region of US$10 Million. He also worked with RBTT Merchant Bank, the largest in the region, and participated in the underwriting of several significant bond issues for the Trinidad & Tobago government and other CARICOM governments. He currently runs his own consultancy providing management coaching to SMEs, tax and accounting services for companies and government agencies. He also advises on mergers & acqui- sitions, corporate governance and raising finance from local and foreign sources.
Edward Thorn AB (Hist) Locations: United States and Latin America

Edward Thorn is an American mergers and acquisitions specialist based in Chicago. His career began in the United States in the telecomms industry. From there he ventured into Europe placing telecommunications and cable TV licensing contracts in the UK, Holland and Germany. Ed studied communications law at University of California, Berkeley.
In 2002 he became a partner of the Madrid-based international law firm, Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo, and Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for Latin America. Prior to that he co-founded World- port Communications, a Netherlands based fixed-line operator sub- sequently sold to Energis for over $500 Million.
Michael Slack BA(Psy) Location: Bahamas

Michael is a Bahamian stockbroker and asset mananger. He studied psychology in Canada and has worked in the securities business in the Bahamas for several years. He currently works for a Swiss asset management company in Nassau managing large Swiss family portfolios across several different asset classes.
Michael holds a Series 7 stockbroking licence and it registered with the US securities regulator, FINRA. He is also registered with the Bahamian Securities Commission. Before his current post he worked as a securities trader for two international investment compaines in the Bahamas.
